I went to the Canary Islands for a few days for a mini break and some much needed sunshine.
We stayed in the area of Mogan, Puerto Rico. Never heard of it before I went and when we arrived there was so much open space like stuff was still getting built. So many mountains too which we love.
Our villa was on a huge golf resort in the middle of the mountains ,so luckily we had already booked a car, otherwise it woulda been a helluva lot of walking, let me tell ya!
We arrived pretty late so just went for some traditional tapas at the local restaurant. We went abit nuts with portions as we were so hungry. Spanish tortilla is something I realllllllyyyy miss from Barcelona so I ordered a whole pie of the stuff.
Our second day we woke up super early and watched the sun come out, I’m such a morning person, I love to get up and get moving.
There was a big market on down in the centre so we went there, a lot of typical touristy shit – ghlain Klain, ducle & Camino boxers – for example haha really wanted Jake to buy a pair. We wandered down to the beach for the rest of the day and mooched around the back streets to find some nice walls and secret spaces.
We went to the Aqualand water park in Masaplomas too which was a awesome. I’m a big water park fan and this day was super fun!
I would really recommend anyone who like me, hates the typical touristy things to come here and rent a car and just explore as much as possible to try and find the secret spots! They do exist hehe.
