“To ‘DO YOU’ is to take ownership of yourself and finding the power within that ownership —it’s a very powerful statement,” says Cara. “It’s about accepting who you are, no matter your faults.  ’DO YOU’ is about finding your truth and sticking to it. I think it’s so special because it means something.”

This is the motto for the “Do You” Puma campaign. Which aims to inspire confidence and empowerment in women everywhere, pretty cool right?

I went down to the Puma x Basket Heart Launch on Thursday which is backed by super babe Cara Delevingne. The event was not only a celebration of the new trainer but also a celebration of women everywhere owning whats they gots and being nothing but themselves, never apologetic if you will and I like that..alot.

On the night, I was surrounded by strong empowering females which were really fucking amazing! Fellow Mancunian presenter Yasmin Evans was there to present the event and tell us what the ‘Do you’ campaign means to her. The shoe itself is a really cool pump like silhouette but the ribbon laces really soften and girly it up. To be fair, I am not the most girliest of girls so I need to play around the style to make it my own.

Let me tell you about the actual launch party, it was really girly and gorgeous which fitted really nicely into that particular style of the shoe. Pink balloons hanging from the ceiling, a Christmas tree with baby baskets, it’s the really small details like this I love. Puma had a huge projector of Cara  doing her thing in the New York city street on a huge wall where she was basically just looking really hot in the campaign shots. They had guys doing nails and braids.. I wasn’t brave enough to got for the braids, I think I will leave that to the super cool girls to pull that off..

The shoe is already sold out on Puma’s website, however you can still grab a pair on JD Sports here.
