I spent my birthday in Ibiza this year, I love being away for my birthday and we couldn’t wait for this trip. I really needed a break from ‘real life’ for a few days… turns out I didn’t want to leave! I have been to Ibiza before but that was more of a party trip. So this time, I really wanted to get my Dora the Explorer on with my new Pentax film camera and see what Ibiza had to offer and I was blown away! What I discovered is that Ibiza is WAY more than just a party island, it has the most breathtaking serene beaches, tasty organic vegetarian cafes, cliff side restaurants and a magnetic hippy energy that ya’ll know I LOVE! I felt truly at home and was in total awe of the place. Most of my images were taken on film and I was super nervous to get them developed as I hadn’t used this camera before and film cameras can sometimes screw you over and not work but when they do – they are da bomb. I prefer film over ANYTHING! When me and my babe got all of our like 200 films developed, we were dancing with joy haha, so as we had felt so nervous all holiday thinking what about if they don’t develop! haha.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed taking them. The next blog post will be on the places to eat, drink and what to do – NON tourist style 😉
