One of the best places for a healthy lunch in Ibiza is at El Chiringuito in Cala Gracioneta. A true hidden treasure situated in a picturesque cove and crystal blue waters, away from the hustle and bustle of San Antonio’s west end! You can escape here when you need a minute to breathe, reboot and eat some seriously yummy food! It has an escapism feel to it that I love.
I met photographer and now a great pal of mine Gary to take some pictures in and around Cala Gracio. We decided to fill up our bellies at El Chiringuito in San Antonio, Ibiza. It has a gorgeous, rustic setting and you can relax and unwind there for hours. The food is seriously good, they have some great veggie options for me. I had the lentil salad and it was delicious! Gary went for the octopus, we both sat back and relaxed with fresh, smoothie cava sangria, which is to die for! The interior is rustic yet comfortable and charming, surrounded by gorgeous, burnt orange rocks and quaint wooden doors of old fishing shacks. The paella has been said to be the best on the island, caught fresh from the ocean. The staff here are attentive, they truly care about your needs and nothing is too much to ask.
The sea is aqua blue and crystal clear too, boats are scooting around, which is so lovely to watch. It can get slightly busy (as the cove is only small) in summer. However there are lots of little rocky cliffs you can sit on instead, just bring a yoga matt with you ( I don’t want you guys hurting your backs!)
The sunsets here are idyllic too! You can sit back relax, unwind with a freshly made cocktail and listen to waves crash against the rocks (doesn’t get much better does it!) Many guests also like to take their drinks down to the water as the sun is going down! I love these kind of places so much. I hope you will love it too!
