This month I got a super exciting invitation in to my email from no other than Boohoo themselves for a little bit of January TLC, following from them post holiday blues.
It was a chance to re – connect and get back in tune with ourselves with a yoga session, wearing their brand new Boohoo FIT range! The range is gorgeous! Its super light, sporty whilst still having that fashionable edge. I only do high waisted leggings as c’mon gals, they do make your butt look better! I picked the grey space dye leggings with the pink space bra teamed with this white jumper which I threw over the bra. I like the style of the jumper as you can still see the details and colour of the sports bra. I wasn’t the only one who was diggin’ this jumper as a few of the other bloggers also picked the same!
I have practising yoga for a couple of years now so I do love to switch it up and try different styles of yoga with different teachers. Alexis’s class was restorative and relaxing and all about the breathe, really needed for me ATM!
The event was held at prestigious hair salon RCNQ, the owner Rob who is the hair everything guru and his delish team treated us to a temporary colour / hair gloss and blow dry. I have mentioned this before on my blog and IG but I have MAJOR hair anxiety, seriously I don’t let anyone come near it. Even when I used to go to the hair dressers, I would tell the poor girl to leave my hair wet and I would go home and style it myself! ha! I have had quite a few bad hair experiences so my anxiety is expected.
I explained this to Rob when he asked if would like to try a temp colour, by my face he could see I was petrified. However, Rob was amazing at talking me through what colours I could have and that it would wash out after 3 washes. I felt at ease and let him play around with my hair, I trusted him completely, which I guess is natural as he has been doing his for over a decade! Not to mention he does the major fashion shows! (Told you he was an everything hair guru 😉 )
I went for a natural colour to just brighten my hair up a little as I hadn’t had it coloured for around a year and a half ( crazy right? I love low maintenance hair) my hair was SO shiny, which is hard for blonde hair. It just glowed and felt so soft. I ADORE the whole ethos of the salon, Rob is seriously passionate about promoting wellness and at his salon. They have yoga with Alexis, organic loose leaf tea and just an all around chill, relax vibe.
Rob mentioned at the start of the evening that they don’t use shampoo or conditioner and I was like WAAAHHHTTT because my first thought is well how will my hair feel clean, how will it feel silky smooth? BUT BUT but… they use a product called New Wash – it removed the dirt WITHOUT stripping the hair like usual shampoo does ( paragons, sulphates etc) You would never believe that you havent used tradionatal methods! This is what I loved about RCNQ, they are leaders in what they do, they do a hair salon like no other I have ever come across.
Rob curled my hair (which I never do) but he created these gorgeous boho loose curls which is what I wish my hair could look like everyday, but also what I am too lazy to do everyday! I felt a million quid!
I went back to RCNQ to see Rob after my wash out colour had long gone for a colour and cut, the care and attention he paid to my hair was bloody fantastic.
I urge you all to check them out, I don’t recommend places lightly but these guys are fantastic! I have a code for you guys too for 30% off, just mention ‘J.ANNE’ and he will sort you right out!
Big love to Boohoo and the RCNQ team for putting on such an cool event.
