GUYSSS I have landed in the gorgeous Rome and the sun is scorching so its time to explore!
I didn’t do so much of the touristy things, I went to the coliseum and Vatican City which was pretty grand but my oh my there was SO many crowds which I know is to be expected.
I love to travel, its my heart and sets my soul on fire but I have come to realise im so much more of a nature gal. I love palm trees, sea and mountains, a whole lotta nature is the environment I adore most.
Cities are cool for a couple of nights though, to eat and drink and find some cool artsy spots.
Anyway, back to Rome I was staying in the cool, bohemian area of Monti which is is filled with artistic bars, gorgeous wine and loads of vegan places to eat. I am so happy with the amount of vegan options here, I felt truly spoilt with the beautiful food here.
When we landed we headed to Aromaticus where all the produce is fresh, organic and handmade. If you want something tasty and healthy – using lots of delicious veggies and/or fish, with inventive cuisine and fresh ingredients – Aromaticus really delivers. The portions are on the smaller side so if you’re hungry you might want to grab dessert.
I then headed to a great ice cream spot is Gelateria S.M.Maggiore which is super cheap and offers loads of different flavours.
The vibe in Rome is a really relaxed kind of atmosphere, even though its a city it feels like people take themselves less seriously and MOST seem happy to help tourists when asked.
Rome is filled with history and theres many reasons why its iconic and one of the most traveled cities in Europe.
The diversity in culture from around the world is what I noticed in Rome and I enjoy seeing cultures mix and get to know each other. You can wander around the ancient streets, gelato in hand, people watching, taking the stunning architecture in for hours.
